Omnifocus and Mailplane for the Mac OSX  work great together for the GTD wannabe. A problem many mail clients have is the inability to link out to specific email conversations across other programs, such as your trusty to-do list. Mailplane does this well. Just a few hours away the official Top 100 DJ list will be up on DJ Mag’s website. However, like last year, it has been leaked. Interestingly, I did some analysis on the history of the DJ list dating back to 1997. Here is what I found:

1. There has been a total of 414 individual DJs who made it to the top 100 since 1997.

2. House DJs are trending upwards the list vs. Trance DJs. Yes, Tiesto is helping that movement since he seems to be bangin’ out a lot of house productions lately in his sets. Along with the help of David Guetta, Axwell, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, Chuckie and notable debuts from Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia, Wolfgang, Avicii, and Dada Life.

3. The highest debut on the list is Deadmau5 at #11 in 2008. Second, Dash Berlin at #15 in 2010.

4. Many veteran DJs are trending down: Paul Van dyk, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Ferry Corseton, John Digweed

5. Biggest jump in ranking: Axwell +60 positions in 2007 at #33.

6. Did you know Q-bert debuted on the list at #77 in 1998?
